[摘要] The purpose of this Act and Regulations issued on the basis of the Act is to harmonise Icelandic law with the international legal obligations of the Icelandic State under the terms of international conventions and the European Economic Area Agreement in the field of safety of Icelandic ships, their crews and passengers, and to preventive measures against pollution from ships. This Act shall apply to all Icelandic ships, but the Minister may issue Regulations determining that this Act shall apply
