[摘要] An Act respecting any development, i.e. any project, operation or activity, which is likely to have an impact on the environment. The provisions of this Act are binding on the Crown (sec.3). A ministerial approval is required before proceeding with any development. Under section 9, the proponent of a development shall conduct an environmental impact assessment of the development and prepare and submit to the minister an environmental impact statement relating to the development.
