[摘要] This Act provides for an effective mechanism to prevent disasters and to respond to the occurrence of disasters in Tuvalu. It establishes the National Disaster Committee, the National Disaster Management Office and, for each Island, an Island Disaster Committee. It also assigns functions to the Minister responsible to the Cabinet for all disaster-related matters.
