[摘要] This Act aims at ensuring that those responsible for imminent or existing threats of environmental damages prevent and alleviate these damages and are liable to all incurred costs thereof. The Act does not apply to emissions or events that led to damage or danger occurred more than 30 years ago, and (art. 6) does not affect the right to limit liability of those responsible for environmental damages in adherence to Chapter 9 of the Marine Act.
