[摘要] The purpose of this Act is to promote: a) safety, in particular by encouraging operators exploiting oil or gas to exert appropriate care to achieve safety; b) environment protection; c) conservation of oil and gas resources; and d) joint production arrangements. Section 4 establishes that no person shall otherwise carry on any work or activity related to the exploration for or the production of oil or gas in any area to which this Act applies.
