Numerical simulating the two-dimensional structure of the Penning discharge using the modified drift-diffusion model
[摘要] Spatial structure of the Penning discharge at pressures p = 0.1 - 0.01 Torr is investigated within the framework of the modified drift-diffusion model. This modification includes three models of elementary physical processes, which take into account peculiarities of gas discharge processes at low pressures and large reduced electric fields. Presented results of numerical simulations are in reasonable agreement with available experimental data.
