Eco-friendly fishing gears based on code of conduct for responsible fisheries in the city of Banda Aceh, Indonesia

[摘要] The aims of study was determine the fishing equipment that has the highest level of ecological friendliness. The study was conducted in March to May 2014 at Lampulo Fishing Port (PPS) and Alue Naga Fish Landing (TPI), Aceh Province, Indonesia. Descriptive method was used with the 175 fishermen as respondent divided into three categories, namely Purse Seine fishermen, Trammel Net, and Gill Net Fishermen. Data were etrieval using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study were described in graphical form, frequency and percentage (%). The results showed that the highest level of ecological friendliness fihing gear was gill net.
