A New Species ofProtosmiaDucke From SpainWith Notes on Related Species(Hymenoptera: Megachilidae)

[摘要] A trap-nesting program in northern Spain undertaken in cooperationwith Dr. Enrique Asensio (Instituto Nacional de InvestigacionesAgrarias, Valladolid) over the past few years has resulted innumerous nests of megachilids. One of these represents a new speciesofProtosmiaDucke. It is described here in order to make thename available for the description of its nesting biology, and isnamed in honor of Dr. Asensio, in recognition of his considerablehelp in this trap-nesting study.In the following description, abdominal segments are numberedbased on the metasoma; expressions in parentheses in the descriptionof the male represent departures among male paratypes fromcharacteristics described for the holotype.
