A Novel Transformation Electromagnetic Theory-Based Coverage Optimization Method for Wireless Network
[摘要] Improving the reliability of the radio coverage in shadow area isalways an important issue for the wireless communications. Theemergence of the transformation electromagnetic (TE) techniqueprovides a new method to control the propagation direction of theradio signal. This paper proposes a coverage optimization methodbased on the TE technique; a cloak which covers the surface ofobstacle is designed to improve the coverage performance in shadowarea. The material parameters of cloak are calculated by thetransformation electromagnetic method. To solve the calculationproblem for the rectangular obstacle, the Fourier series is usedto approximately describe the rectangular boundaries. Theeffectiveness of the proposed cloak for the coverage optimizationis validated by the theoretical analysis and simulation results. The simulation results show that the coverage performance can beimproved significantly.
