On Optimal Bit Allocation for Classification-Based Source-Dependent Transform Coding
[摘要] An optimal bit allocation is presented forclassification-based source-dependent transform coding. A vectorof transform coefficients is considered to have been produced bya mixture of processes. The available bit resource is distributedoptimally in two stages: (1) bit allocation is performed for eachclass of coefficient vectors, and (2) bit allocation is performed foreach vector coefficient. The solution for low bit rates imposingnonnegative bit resource is also presented. The rate-distortionbound of the classification-based source coding isderived.
