A review of Costas arrays

[摘要] Costas arrays are not only useful in radar engineering, but theyalso present many interesting, and still open, mathematicalproblems. This work collects in it all important knowledge aboutthem available today: some history of the subjects, densityresults, construction methods, construction algorithms with fullproofs, and open questions. At the same time all the necessarymathematical background is offered in the simplest possible formatand terms, so that this work can play the role of a reference formathematicians and mathematically inclined engineers interested in the field.
