Mechanical analogy for the wave-particle: helix on a vortex filament
[摘要] The small amplitude-to-thread ratio helical configuration of avortex filament in the ideal fluid behaves exactly as de Brogliewave. The complex-valued algebra of quantum mechanics finds asimple mechanical interpretation in terms of differentialgeometry of the space curve. The wave function takes the meaningof the velocity, with which the helix rotates about the screwaxis. The helices differ in type of the screw—right- orleft-handed. Two kinds of the helical waves deflect in theinhomogeneous fluid vorticity field in the same way as spinparticles in the Stern-Gerlach experiment.
