The Role of Cytokines in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

[摘要] Cytokines play an important role in the development and persistenceof the inflammatory lesions seen in Crohn's disease and ulcerativecolitis. This review discusses the current thinking of the role ofcytokines in chronic intestinal inflammation including theinvolvement of immunoregulatory cytokines within the Th1 and Th2subsets.
