On Using the Transfer Matrix Formulation for Transient Analysis of Nonlinear Rotor Bearing Systems
[摘要] For many years transfer matrices have been used to evaluatethe steady-state vibration response of linear rotor bearingsystems. More recently, they have been used to evaluatethe steady-state periodic vibration response of nonlinearrotor bearing systems. For quasi-periodic and chaotic response,a transient solution is mandated and transient solutionsoftware can also be gainfully used to evaluate thestability of the above-mentioned periodic solutions. To date,transient solutions generally necessitate a different lumpedparameter discretization of the rotor and involve solving simultaneouslythe differential equations for every degree offreedom. This article shows how transient analysis can beperformed while maintaining the transfer matrix lumpedparameter discretization. The technique is illustrated for anon symmetric unbalanced flexible rotor supported on hydrodynamicjournal bearings or deep-groove ball bearings.
