Wake Behavior behind Turbine Cascades in Compressible Two-Dimensional Flows
[摘要] The goal of the paper is to describe wake parameters ofwakes from turbine cascades in compressible flows especially inplanes where the leading edge of the following blade row would belocated. Data from experiments with turbine cascades incompressible flow will be used to derive a theoretical approachwhich describes the wake growth and the recovery of the velocitydeficit. The theory is based on similarity assumptions. Thederived equations depend on simple and readily availableparameters such as overall losses, exit angle, and Mach or Lavalnumber. In compressible turbine flows, the influence of theinviscid flow field is of great importance. In this paper, anapproach to take this influence into account when determining thebehavior of the wake is presented. Correlations for basiccharacteristics of wakes in compressible flows are not readilyavailable. Such correlations are necessary as input to unsteadyflow and heat transfer calculation procedures for turbomachineblades. Based on available data on wake behavior in thecompressible flow behind turbine blades, the correlationspresented describe the wake behavior from the trailing edge to theconfluence of the wakes of adjacent blades.
