Experimental and Numerical Investigations of a FlexibleRotor on Flexible Bearing Supports
[摘要] The main goal of this paper is to study, numerically andexperimentally, the effects of the bearing support flexibility onthe rotor dynamic and the first forward and backward criticalspeeds. The test rig which is used in this study has beendeveloped and built at the École Centrale de Lyon (France).This flexible rotor, supported by two rolling bearings on flexiblesupports, is used for three configurations of the flexiblesupports. The support characteristics are determinedexperimentally by performing static tests. Moreover, a finiteelement model of this flexible rotor is presented which consistsof a rigid disk on a flexible shaft supported by two bearingsupports. On the basis of measured frequency response functionsfor various rotational speeds, eigenfrequencies and the associatedCampbell diagram from the numerical model and the relatedexperimental results for the flexible rotor are discussed. Thecomparison of these experimental and numerical tests are used inorder to update the finite element model and the associated momentstiffness of the two rolling bearings for the three configurationsof interest.
