Numerical Simulation of Turbopump Inducer Cavitating Behavior
[摘要] In the present study a numerical model of 3D cavitatingflows is proposed. It is applied to investigate the behavior of aspatial turbopump inducer in noncavitating and cavitatingconditions. Experimental and numerical results concerning inducercharacteristics and performance breakdown are compared atdifferent flow conditions. The cavitation development and thespatial distribution of vapor structures within the inducer arealso analyzed. The results show the ability of the code tosimulate the quasi-steady cavitating behavior of such a complexgeometry. Discrepancies concerning the breakdown prediction arealso discussed.
