The Motor System: The Whole and its Parts

[摘要] Our knowledge of components of the humanmotor system has been growing steadily, but ourunderstanding of its integration into a system islagging behind. It is suggested that a combinationof measurements of forces and movements of themotor system in a functionally meaningfulenvironment in conjunction with computersimulations of the motor system may help us inunderstanding motor system properties. Neurotraumacan be seen as a natural deviation, withrecovery as a slow path to yet another deviantstate of the motor system. In that form they maybe useful in explaining the close interactionbetween form and function of the human motorsystem.
