Pelvic Actynomyces Infection: Report of Two Cases Occurred in the Hospital of San José

[摘要] The actynomyces infection is a rare cause of chronic pelvicinflammation, which can be manifested in multiple ways. It iscaused by the actynomyces bacteria, usually by theisraeliitype, which can be a part of the normal flora ofthe genital tract in patients who use intrauterine device (IUD).There is a discussion about the importance of considering thisinfection disease as part of the differential diagnosis inpatients using the IUD, with atypical manifestations and bizarrepresentation of infections of the genital tract, severe pelvicadherent syndromes, tubo-ovarian complexes (abscesses) barelysymptomatic, and in the case of intraoperatory suspicion of pelviccarcinomatosis among others.
