Speaker tracking with a microphone array using Kalman filtering

[摘要] In this publication a method for tracking a speakerwith acoustical information by means of a microphone arrayis presented. A sound source localization algorithm basedon the time delays of arrival of sound waves in microphonepairs provides initial position estimates. These significantlyvarying estimates are spatially filtered by an adaptive Kalmanfilter to obtain a smoothed trajectory of the speaker’s movement.Experimental results with real data are presented for avariety of scenarios recorded in a noisy and reverberant officeroom environment.
