Multicarrier systems and filter banks

[摘要] Multicarrier systems, especially orthogonal frequencydivision multiplex (OFDM), are already established ina lot of current communications standards.Moreover, they are very prominent candidatesfor future systems in mobile communications.Filter bank based multicarrier systemscan be designed to provide a better spectralshaping than OFDM systems. That way, they havesome advantages against OFDM, which will be shownin this work and motivate further researchin the direction of channel equalizers with low complexity.This leads to optimum bandwidth efficient multicarriersystems without guard interval, i.e. cyclic prefix.
