On network representations of antennas inside resonating environments
[摘要] We discuss network representations of dipole antennas within electromagneticcavities. It is pointed out that for a given configuration theserepresentations are not unique. For an efficient evaluation a networkrepresentation should be chosen such that it involves as few networkelements as possible. The field theoretical analogue of this circumstanceis the possibility to express electromagnetic cavities' Green's functionsby representations which exhibit different convergence properties. An explicitexample of a dipole antenna within a rectangular cavity clarifies thecorresponding interrelation between network theory and electromagneticfield theory. As an application, current spectra are calculated forthe case that the antenna is nonlinearly loaded and subject to a two-toneexcitation.
