Freihandelszone Shenzhen in der VR-China : Experiment im Rahmen der neuen Wirtschaftspolitik

[摘要] Since 1979 the Chinese People's Republichas attempted to implement part of thenew economic policy of reform in theSpecial Economic Zones (SEZs). The Shenzhen SEZ is the largest of the fourexisting SEZs and has an area of 327,5Square kilometres and about 84'000 inhabitants.In the Shenzhen SEZ, mostof the foreign investment is concentratedin the real estate/constructionbusiness and tourism and not exclusivelyin manufacturing. The joint-ventureshave proved to be disappointing andcurrently account for only 2,8 % of thetotal investment.On the other hand, cooperative production is still the principal form of investment with 56,8 %of the total. The economic and technological dependence of Shenzhen SEZ onHongkong is likely to have an adverseeffect on production costs and the priceof land. The accelerated development inShenzhen SEZ has been accompanied byinadequate infrastructure Provision andserious social problems.
