Experiencias cubanas en el uso de las mieles de caña para la alimentacion porcina
[摘要] Theuseofsugarcanederivatives,especiallyhightest,Bandfinalmolasses,asalternativestocerealgrainsasthebasisofpigproductionsystems,isdiscussedinthelightofexperienciasinCubaduringthelasttwodecades,whichhasculminatedinthedevelopmentofavigorouspigindustrylargelybasedontheuseofthesefeedresources.Resultsfromthesefeedingsystems,basedoncommerciallyobtainedtechnicalcoefficients,showthatmuchhigheranimalproductivitycanbeachievedperunitareasownwithsugarcane,thanwithcereals.Itispointedoutthat,althoughdrymatterfeedconversionispooreronmolassesthanoncereals,feedintakesarehigher,permittingsimilarratesofgrowth.Themajorlimitingfactortothemorewidespreaduseofthesesystemsisprotein,presentlyimportedinmosttropicalcountries,intheformofsoybeanmeal.Promisingalternativesforsoybeanproteinareconsideredtobesinglecellyeastproteinderivedfromthefermentationofmolasses,andproteinderivedfromprocessingofhouseholdandinstitutionalfoodwastes.
