[摘要] Foliagesfromthreeforagetrees(Ingaspectabilis,TrichanteragiganteaandGliricidiasepium).wereanalysedfortheircontentsofmajormineralsandanti-nutritionalcompounds(phenols,alkaloids,saponinsandsteroids).AfeedingtrialwascarriedoutwithgoatsfedtheforagefromIngaspectabilis.TheIngafoliagehadhighestcontentsofphenolsandsteroids,withTrichanterahavingtheleast.Alkaloidswerenotdetectedinanyoftheforages,andsaponincontentwaslow.DrymatterdegradabilityinnylonbagsintherumenwashighestforTrichantera(77%at48h),followedbyGliricidia(70%)withIngabeingthepoorest(33%at48h).HeartratedecreasedandrespiratoryrateincreasedmarkedlyingoatsfedexclusivelyonfoliagefromInga.
