The use of draft animals in the southern hills of Mexico City
[摘要] BymeansofasurveyproceduretheuseofanimaltractionintheregionofXochimilcowascharacterized.Theresultsshowthattheprincipalspecieswerehorses,donkeysandmules.Themainactivitywasfocusedonagriculture.Animalhousingwascloselyrelatedtotheowner'shome.Localgrasses,foragesandagriculturalwastesweretheprincipalingredientsofthediet.Therelevanceofanimalpowerinrelationtothetopographicconditionsandtheroledraughtanimalsplayinconnectiontosustainabilityfactorsarediscussed.
