Effect of the replacement of steam treated sugar cane bagasse by milo on ruminal fermentation in bovines and in vivo digestibility in sheep
[摘要] Twoexperimentswereconductedtodeterminetheeffectsofsubstitutingmiloforsteam-treatedsugarcanebagasse(STB)onruminalfermentationandinvivodigestibility.ThedietwiththegreatestproportionofmilowasalsocomparedwithanothersimilardietinwhichSTBwasreplacedbyrawsugarcanebagasse(RSB).Thefollowingbasaldietswerefedto4fistulatedcows,3timesaday(7am,1pmamp;7pm):26%RSB+47%milo;26%STB+47%milo;38%STB+34%miloand52%STB+20%milo(drymatterbasis).ThesedietsrepresentedthetreatmentsRB26,SB26,SB38andSB52,inthesameorder.Theywerecompletedwithyeast(15%),molasses(6%),cottonseedmeal(3%),sodiumbicarbonate(0.8%)andminerals(1.7%).pHwerenotsignificantlydifferentamongtreatments.Theaceticacidlevelwassignificantlylower(Plt;0.05)intreatmentRB26thanintreatmentswithSTB.AlthoughtotalvolatilefattyacidsproductionintreatmentRB26wasnumericallylowerthaninSTBtreatments,therewasnosignificantdifference(p=0.10)amongthem.TreatmentRB26resultedinhighestfiguresconcerninginsituinsolublematterdegradation,significantlyhigher(plt;0.05)thanintreatmentsSB26andSB38forthe24hourperiodofincubationandhigherthanSB26forthe48hourperiod.Thesametreatmentsweregiventoeightrams,ontwolatinsquares,inordertodeterminedietdigestibilities.Thehighestvaluesfordrymatterdigestibilityandorganicmatterdigestibilitywereobtainedintreatmentsthathadgreaterproportionsofmilo.TheADFdigestibilitywashigher(plt;0.05)intreatmentRB26thanintreatmentsSB26andSB38.DrymatterintakewassignificantlylowerintreatmentRB26.
