[摘要] AdoubleLatinsquare4x4with14dayperiodswasusedtocomparetheeffectofofferlevelofabasaldietofchoppedsugarcanestalkdietonvoluntaryintakeandsomeparametersoftherumeneccosystemofAfricanhairsheep.Theofferlevelsofthechoppedcanestalkswere(drymatterbasis):3.0,4.5,6.0and7.5kgper100kgliveweight.ThesheepalsoreceivedfreshfoliageofGliricidiasepium(3kgper100kgliveweight)andhadfreeaccesstomultinutrientblocks(10%urea).Theintakeofchoppedsugarcanerosefrom1759to2192g/day(freshbasis)(281to494g/daydrybasis)asofferlevelwasincreasedfrom3to7.5kgDM/100kgliveweight(P=0.001).Thecorrespondingvaluesfordrymattercontentoftherefusalswere40to25%,indicatingthehighdegreeofselectionexertedbythesheep.Intakeoftheblockvariedfrom204to288g/day(20to29g/dayofurea)andwasnotrelatedtotreatment.Rumenammoniaconcentrations3hrafterfeedingwereintherange19to25mg/100mland15to23mg/100mlforsamplestaken6hrafterfeeding.CorrespondingrangesforpHwere6.8to7.0and6.8to7.0andforprotozoalpopulations1.67to3.65and1.78to3.13(x10-5/ml).Noneoftheparametersofrumenfunctionwasaffectedbytheofferlevel.Itwasconcludedthatincreasingtheofferlevelofchoppedsugarcanestalksinadietforsheepisaneffectivewayofincreasingvoluntaryintake.
