Uso del pizamo (Erythrina fusca) como suplemento proteico en dietas de tallo de caña prensado para terneras de levante

[摘要] AnexperimentwascarriedoutinacommercialfarmtoevaluatethemethodofprocessingthefoliageofthelegumetreeErythrinafuscagivenasaproteinsupplementtogrowingheifers(F1:HolsteinxZebu)fedabasaldietofpressedsugarcanestalk(afterjuiceextractionina3-rollmill).Thebasaldietwascomplementedwithasolutionofurea(5%)incondenseddistillers'solubles(60degreesBrix),500g/dofricepolishingandminerals.Thetreat-mentswere:FV:Freshgrass(canetopsorKing-grass);PF:FreshfoliageofErythrinafusca;PO:ThesameasPFbutlefttowiltfor24h;PJ:ThesameasPFbutsprayedwithasolutionofsugarcanejuice:condenseddistillers'solubles(80:20,onbasisofdissolvedsolids)at200ml/kgoferythrina.Animalperformancewasbetteronthedietscontainingerythrinawhichwaswiltedorsprayedwithsugarsolution.Meanvaluesforweightchange(kg/d)were:FV-0.278;PF-0.084;PO0.556;PJ0.520(P=0.026;SE±.118).Theintakeofpressedcanestalkwasonaverage33%oftheamountoffered.TheconsumptionofErythrinafuscareached4%ofliveweight(freshbasis).Thetreatmentshadnoapparenteffectontherumenecosystem.Protozoalcountswererelativelylow(lt;10x104/ml)withrespecttoexpectedvaluesforasugar-containingdiet(pressedcanestalkcontainsfrom20to25%residualsugar,drymatterbasis).Therewasatendencyforthefaecestobemoreliquidonthedietscontainingwiltedorsugar-treatederythrina.Theobservationsmadeinthisexperimentwereinsufficienttoexplainthereasonfortheapparentlybetterperformanceofthecattlegivenerythrinawhichhadbeenwiltedorsprayedwithasolutionofsugarcanejuiceandcondenseddistillers'solubles.Itisknownthaterythrinafoliagecontainsanti-nutritionalfactorsanditispossiblethatthewiltingandsugartreatmentsresultedinsomedegreeofdenaturalizationofthesesubstances,thuspermittingagreaterdegreeofutilizationoftheproteinattheleveloftheintestine.
