Oil-rich fibrous residue from african oil palm as basal diet of pigs; effects of supplementation with methionine

[摘要] ThisresearchwascarriedoutbytheIFS-UNILLANOSprojectinitsexperimentalfarm,locatedinthecityofVillavicencio,Colombia.64crossbredpigs(YorkshirexLandrace)ofaverageweight20kgwereallocatedto8pens,eachonewith8animals.Thefourtreatmentswere:C:0.5kg/dofsoyabeanmeal(FSM)fortifiedwithvitaminsandminerals,M:0.5kg/dofFSMplus8--gt;9g/dofmethionine,MB:0.5kg/dofFSMplusmethionineand0.93--gt;1.05g/dBcomplexvitamins,andB:0.5kg/dofFSMplusBcomplexvitamins.Thebasaldietwastheoil-richfibrousresiduefromfactoryprocessingofafricanoilpalmwhichwasfedadlibitum.Therewerenosignificanteffectsoftreatments(C,M,MB,B)ontimetoreach90kg(143,138,133and148days),dailyliveweightgain(480,485,504and466g/d)andintakeoftheoil-richresidue(2.77,2.75,2.74and2.80kg/d).
