[摘要] Thepurposeofthisresearchwasthemicrostructurecharacterizationandmetallographicofthreecommercialbrandsofthermo-activatedNiTialloys,fortheiruseinorthodontics.Analysesoffluorescenceandx-raysdiffractionwerecarriedouttodeterminechemicalnatureandopticmicroscopyofreflectionandelectronicslippagetodetermineitsmicrostructure.Theresultsinthechemicalcompositionshowlittlevariationinmainthechemicalelements.Nevertheless,theresultsfrommicroscopyshowthepresenceoffineparticleswithacontentofcarbon.ThepresenceofthiselementinthewiresofNiTiprobablyhasitsorigininthecontaminationofthealloyduringthefusionprocessandhasaharmfuleffectinseveralmechanicalqualities,inparticularontherepetitionofefforts.
