[摘要] Thepurposeofthisstudyistoverifyarelationbetweentheskeletalclassificationandtheretentionofteethontheanteriorteeth,aswellasthefrequencyofClassI,IIandIIIonthesamecases.Asampleof45patientsweretakenfromtheactivecasesattheCentrodeEstudiosSuperioresdeOrtodoncia,thathadretainedteethontheanteriorsegment.Fromthesepatients,from8to25yearsold.ASteineranalysiswasmadeonthelateralXraysandtheanglesSNA,SNB,SNDandANB.Theresultsshowthatonlythe.7%hasretentionontheanteriorsegmentduringtheageof12years.Theretentionismorelikelyonfemalethaninmale.TheCuspidsarethemostcommonteethtoberetained37%rightand37%leftthenthecentrals.Therightlateralisretainedmorefrequentlythantheleftlateral.The78%ofretentionsisononesideonly.Accordingtotheseresultswecouldn#39;tverifythatthereisarelationbetweenSkeletalClassIIIwithmaxillahypoplasiaandtheretainedteethontheanteriorsegment,sowecan#39;tconsiderthatthelackofdevelopmentofthemaxillaisnotthecauseoftheretentions.
