Incidencia de dientes ausentes y supernumerarios en pacientes con labio y paladar hendido
[摘要] Cleftlipandpalatearecommondeformitiesintheworld,anditisduetomultifactorialeventsthatmayoccurinthedevelopmentoftheembryo.Obsevationsshow,thatthecleftlipandpalateoccurredinthefirstsevenweeksoftheintrauterusdevelopment,whenthelipsandpremaxilaareformed.Theanomaliesofdentaldevelopmentincreaseonpatientswithcleftlipandpalatewithcharacteristicsthatincludethealterationsontheshapeoranathomy,absenceofsometeethorpresenceofsupernumeraryteeth.Thedevelopmentofthealveolarprocessinthepalatedeterminetheanomalyofcertainteeth.ThemainobjectiveistodeterminewhicharetheteeththatareabsentorwhatsupernumeraryarepresentinMexicanpatientsbetweenagesof7and21yearsoldwithcleftlipandpalatetoelaborateadiagnosisandabettertreatmentplan.Atransverse-descriptivestudywasdone.FromOnethousandpatientsstudiedasampleofthosebetweentheageof7and21yearsoldwithpresenceofcleftlipandpalatewerechosenforthestudy.ThepanoramicX-Rayfilmwasevaluatedtosearchforabsenceaswellassupernumeraryteeth.Somesupernumeraryteethwerefoundintheantero-superiorsectorandthelateralincisorwasabsentmorefrequently(45%)mostcommonontheleftsidethanontherightside.
