Biodegradation of Bisphenol a by Chlorella vulgaris and Aeromonas Hydrophilia
[摘要] BisphenolA(BPA)isanimportantrawmaterialwhichhasbeenusedinplasticindustryandreleasedintoenvironmentbyindustrialapplications.Endocrinedisruptorchemicals(EDS)disturbendocrinefunctionsinanimals.BPAisawellknowntobeestrogenic-likeEDS.Inthisstudy,biodegradationofBPAbyAeromonashydrophiliaandChlorellavulgarisinvestigated.BiodegradationtestresultshowedthatBPAeasilybiodegradedbyA.hydrophiliaat60and120mgL-1concentrationswithin6dayandC.vulgarisat20mgL-1concentrationswithin7day.NoinhibitoryeffectoncellgrowthseenforA.hydrophiliabutcellgrowthinhibitiondeterminedforC.vulgarisabove20mgL-1concentrationsofBPA.Thefirst-orderkineticmodelusedtodescribethebiodegradationkineticanditwasfittedwellwithtestresults.1-(3-methylbuthyl)-2,3,4,6-tetramethylbenzeneand4-(1-hydroxy-2-methylprop-1-enyl)phenolwerefoundtobebiodegradationintermediateproducts.TheestrogenicactivitiesofBPAdecreaseafterbiodegradationanditcouldnotbedetectafter6and7days.
