[摘要] Theintegralheatofimmersionwasdeterminedforthreetexturalclassesofsoilswhichhadbeenfreeze-dried,air-dried,oven-dried,alternatelyfrozenandthawedandthenfreeze-dried,alternatelyfrozenandthawedandthenair-dried,alternatelyfrozenandthawedandthenoven-dried,andfreeze-driedandthenoven-dried.Therewerehighlysignificantdifferencesintheheatofimmersionasaresultoftexture.Thesignificantdifferencesfoundinthevariousdryingtreatmentscouldonlybeattributedtomoisturecontentatthetimeofimmersion.Thephysicaleffectofthefreeze-dryprocessistransientanditdoesnotaltertheinherentsoilpropertieswithrespecttoclodformation.
