SOME EFFECTS OF MOISTURE AND TEMPERATURE ON TRANSFORMATION OF MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE IN SOIL
[摘要] Pre-weighedmonocalciumphosphatepellets,containingabout15milligramsofP,wereplacedin200gramsofsoilandstoredfor2weeksatfourmoisturetensionsandthreetemperatures.Pelletresidueswerethenremovedandtheamountofphosphorusremainingwasdetermined.Smallcorescontainingpelletresiduesandthesurroundingsoilcontactedbyfertilizersolutionwereremovedfordeterminationofwater-solubleandtotalinorganicP.Phosphatephasespresentatthegranulesitesandthesurroundingsoilwereidentifiedbytheiropticalproperties.Themeanamountofphosphorusremainingatthegranulesiteswas20.2percent.Althoughbothmoisturetensionandtemperaturesignificantlyaffectedthequantityofphosphorusretained,noconsistenttrendwasapparent.Residuesremainingatthesiteofapplicationwerefoundtobemixturesofanhydrousanddihydrateddicalciumphosphate,withthelatterpredominating.Moisturetensionandtemperaturedidnotgreatlyaltertheproportionofthetwophases.P...
