HALOMORPHISM OF SOME CLAY SOILS IN MANITOBA
[摘要] Theanalysisoftheprincipalhorizonsof11halomorphicprofileswasundertakeninanattempttoascertain,chiefly,thekindandquantityofsolublesaltsandexchangeablecationsassumedtobethemaincausativeagentsintheformationofsolonetzicsoilsinManitoba.Theresultsshowedthatwater-solublesodiumwasequaltoorgreaterinquantitythanwater-solublecalciumorwater-solublemagnesium;thatexchangeablecalciumfollowedcloselybyexchangeablemagnesiumdominatedtheexchangecomplexes;andthatexchangeablesodiuminexcessof15percentoftheexchangeablecationswasfoundonlyinsomehorizonsoftheSolonchak,SolonetzandSolodized-SolonetzsoilsintheChesterfieldAssociation.
