EXCHANGEABLE AND WATER-SOLUBLE POTASSIUM IN SOILS AND DEGREE OF SATURATION IN RELATION TO TOMATO YIELDS
[摘要] In33fieldtrialsonsoilsvaryingintexturefromsandyloamtoclayloaminPrinceEdwardCounty,Ontario,exchangeablepotassium,percentpotassiumsaturation,andwater-solublepotassiumweresignificantlycorrelatedwithyieldresponseoftomatoestopotassiumfertilizeronthesandyloamsoils,buttherewasnocorrelationwithintheloamandclayloamgroups.Themeanc1valueinthemodifiedMitscherlichequationrelatingexchangeablepotassiumtoyieldresponsewithinthesandyloamgroupwas0.00555andthecoefficientofvariationwas19.8percent.Thecorrespondingcoefficientsforc1valuesbasedonpercentpotassiumsaturationandwater-solublepotassiumwereofgreatermagnitude.Theamountsofpotassiumsolubleinboiling1 NHNO3werenotrelatedtoyieldresponse.Exchangeablepotassiumandthenon-exchangeableformsolubleinboiling1 NHNO3increased,whereaswater-solublepotassiumdecreasedwithincreasingclaycontentofthesamples.Water-solublepotassiumwassignificantlycor...
