[摘要] Theeffectoffreezinganddurationofstorageoffrozensoilonfreeaminoacidsandsugarswasevaluated.Freezingcausedamarkedincreaseinthetotalamountoffreeaminoacidsandsugarsextracted.Theleveloffreeaminoacidsandsugars,infrozensoil,remainedfairlyconstantuptoastorageperiodof6weeks,afterwhichaprominentdecreaseoccurred.Essentiallytherewasnodifferencebetweensinglefreeze-thawandmultiplefreeze-thawcycles.Ingeneral,soilrespirationanddehydrogenaseactivityparalleledthelevelofextractablefreeaminoacidsandsugars.
