EFFECTS OF NITROGEN, TEMPERATURE, AND MOISTURE REGIME ON THE YIELD AND PROTEIN CONTENT OF NEEPAWA WHEAT
[摘要] ExperimentswereconductedingrowthchambersgrowingwheatonasoilinitiallylowinNO3-N.Atratesupto100 ppmN,grainyieldincreasedwithsucceedingincrementsoffertilizer-N.Increasedtemperatures(15,21,and25 C)significantlydecreasedgrainyieldinmostinstances.Lowtomoderatestresssoilmoistureregimes(0.3–0.5and0.3–2.8bars)hadnosignificantinfluenceongrainyield.Alinewasplottedforpercentproteinvs.addedfertilizer-Nresultinginaconcaveproteincurve,withaninitialdecreaseinproteinto50 ppmNandasubsequentrisewith100and200 ppmN.AteachlevelofN,aclosenegativecorrelationwasshownbetweenpercentproteinandgrainyield.Theeffectofincreasedtemperatureinincreasingpercentproteinwasfoundtobemostlyanindirecteffectthroughtheinfluenceoftemperatureongrainyield.Moistureregimewasfoundtohavenosignificantdirecteffectonpercentprotein.
