HYDROXY ALUMINUM SULFATE–MONTMORILLONITE COMPLEX

[摘要] ThenatureofthecomplexthathadbeenformedbyprecipitatingaluminumhydroxidebetweeninterlayerspacesofmontmorilloniteinthepresenceofanionsClandSO4wasexaminedbychemical,X-ray,thermal,andinfraredabsorptionmethods.Resultsindicatedthatthecomplexwasahydroxyaluminumsulfate–montmorillonitewiththestructuralformula:Al0.02(H2O)3[Al(OH)2.53(SO4)0.18]+silicatelayerofmontmorillonite[O10(OH)2basis].Theatomicratio,Al:OH:SO4,oftheinterlayermaterialwas1:2.53:0.18,whichwassimilartotheratio1:2.5:0.25ofquot;basaluminite.quot;X-raydatashowedthatthecomplexhadspacingsof19.7,21.9,and24.4A,underanextremelydrycondition,moistcondition,andonsolvationwithglycerol,respectively.Duringtheheattreatmentsbetween100and200 C,thed001spacingwassharplyreducedto16 Aandthenewlydevelopedphasepersistedoverawiderangeoftemperaturefrom200to600 C.Thisphasewasconsideredasaninterstratifiedstructureconsistingofa14.3-Aunit(c...
