Heavy metals concentration in the recent sediments along the sides of the road between Bangazi and Sirt Cities _ Libya

[摘要] Heavy metals concentrations of Pb, Cd, Zn, Mn, Cu, Co, Ni, and Fe, have been studied in the recent sediments along the sides of the road between Bangazi and Sirt cities. The results indicate normal range of the concentrations, which reflect no pollution. Moreover, the study indicates the increase in concentrations of Pb, Cd, Zn, Mn, Cu, Co, and Ni, on the edges of both sides of the road. The increase in concentration of most heavy metals in the sediments at the edges of the road is most probably related to hydrocarbon's exhaust of various vehicle.
