Taxonomy and biogeography of the New Caledonian species of Xylopia L. (Annonaceae)
[摘要] AtaxonomicreviewoftheNewCaledonianrepresentativesofthepantropicaltreegenusXylopiaL.(Annonaceae)ispresentedbasedonmuseumstudyof157collections.Distinctionsareclarifiedamongthefourendemicspecies,twoofthempreviouslyundescribedinflowerandtwoothersdescribedintheliteraturefromonlythetypecollections.Akeyandspeciesdescriptionsarepresented.XylopiapancheriBaill.,themostfrequentlycollectedspecies,occursinmaquisenvironmentswithultramaficrocksinthecentralandsouthernregionsoftheisland,aswellasontheÎledesPins.XylopiavieillardiiBaill.iswidespreadinlowelevationhumidforestsbuttheremainingtwospecies,X.dibaccataDanikerandX.pallescensBaill.,haverestricteddistributionsandtheirecologyisstillincompletelyknown.XylopiapancherisharessimilaritieswiththeendemicFijianspeciesX.degeneriA.C.Sm.andX.vitiensisA.C.Sm.;theremainingthreespeciessharemoretraitswiththeFijianendemicX.pacificaA.C.Sm.
