Developmental responses of Acrasis rosea to the visible light spectrum☆
[摘要] LowenergiesoflightintheblueregionwerehighlystimulatoryforinducingfruitingoftheNC-18isolateofthecellularslimemoldAcrasisrosea.Acomparisonofenergyinputversusfruitingresponseat420,450,and475mμindicatedthat450mμ(±7mμ)wasthemostefficienttestedwavelengthforinductionoffruiting.Differentwavelengthsbetween537mμand790mμ,at2–3timestheenergyinputoftheblueregion,wereweaklystimulatoryornonstimulatoryforfruiting.Athigherenergies,broad-spectrumredlight,butnotfarred,inducedgoodfruitingresponses.Culturesfirstexposedtowhitelightandgivenasubsequentdarkperiodof6hourswereexposedtodifferentwavelengthsoflightfor4and10minutesandreturnedtodarknessfor8hours.Bluelightirradiationsweretheonlylowenergylightconditionswhichcauseddiscernibleinhibitionsoffruiting.Highenergiesofbroad-spectrumredlight,butnotfarred,alsodelayedfruiting.FruitingofNC-18amoebae,previouslystimulatedbywhitelight,occurredincontinuousfarred.Therewasnoevidenceofanyred-farredinteractionsimilartothatreportedinhigherplants.
