Autoradiographic study of the decidual cell reaction in the rat☆
[摘要] Theepitheliumortheperiluminalstromalcellsofpregnantorpseudopregnantuteriwereselectivelylabeledbygivingalocalinjectionofthymidine-3Hondifferentdaysafterinductionofpregnancyorpseudopregnancyandbeforedecidualization.Theepitheliumwaslabeledwhentheinjectionwasdoneondays1–3,thestromaonday4or5.Radioautographsoftheseuteriwerestudiedafteradecidualreactionhaddeveloped.Thelabelwasfoundonthedecidualcellswhenoriginallytheperiluminalstromalcellshadbeenlabeled.Wheninsteadtheepitheliumwasinitiallylabeled,thelabelwasnotseeninthedecidualcells,butonlyonfragmentsofepithelialcells.Theroleofmitosisintheformationofthedecidualreactionisexaminedandthehormonalmeaningoftheday4changefromepithelialtostromalDNAsynthesisdiscussed.
