[摘要] Regionsbetweendermalcondensationsofearlyfeathergermshavebeenexaminedwiththeelectronmicroscope.Fibroblastsinsuchplacesbecomeelongatedandorientedsoastopointfromonecondensationtowardthenext.Bundlesofcollagenandanchorfilamentsoccurnearsuchcells.Thereisnouniqueorientationofthecollagen,however;somebundlesdoparalleltheintercondensationaxis,butjustasmanyrunatavarietyofanglestoit.Intracellularmicrotubulesandfinefilamentsparallelthelongaxisoftheelongatefibroblasts.Thebasisofcellandcollagenorientationandthepossiblesignificanceoftheorientationarediscussed.Onthebasisofcurrentinformation,itcanonlybehypothesizedthatthefibroblastsandsomecollagenbundlesmayorientbetweencondensationsinresponsetothesamefactorsthatdeterminefeathergermpatternontheembryo.
