Cell proliferation in embryonic mouse neural tube following urethane exposure☆
[摘要] Acomparativeautoradiographicstudyofthecellcycleinnormal10-daymouseembryosandinembryosexposedtourethaneshowedanincreaseof4.5hoursinthecycletimeoftheexperimentalgroup.Initiallyurethaneinterferedwiththemigrationofsomeunlabeledpremitoticnucleitothegerminalzone,resultinginextraventricularmitoses.Atransientincreaseinthemitoticindexandproportionofmetaphasessuggestedalengthenedmitotictimebutthiswasofbriefdurationandwouldnotcontributesignificantlytotheoverallincreasedcycletime.TheG2periodofcellswhichincorporatedthymidine-3HinthepresenceofurethanewassignificantlylengthenedasweretheSandG1periodsandsomeinjuredcellsdiedininterphaseormitosis.Thenewlengthenedgenerationtimeofembryoneuraltubesexposedtourethaneresemblesthatofolder,11-dayembryos.Thissuggeststhepossibilitythatcellswithashortcyclemaybepreferentiallykilledbyurethane,leavingthedeterminationofmeancycletimetomoredifferentiatedcells.
