Changes in the distribution of glutamic, lactic, and malic dehydrogenases in liver cell fractions during development of the chick embryo☆
[摘要] AlltheLDHactivityandmostoftheMDHactivityofchickliverhomogenatesoccurredinthesupernatantfractionduringallstagesofdevelopment.ChickliverwasfoundtodifferfromratliverinthatthemitochondriacontainednotightlyboundMDH.MitochondrialGDHactivityincreasedafterthetwelfthdayofincubation,andthisrisewasfollowedbyasuddendropofGDHactivityinthesupernatantat15daysofincubation.ThesupernatantGDHhasadifferentoptimumpHtothatofthemitochondrialGDH.EarlystagesofdevelopmentarecharacterizedbyahighproportionofsupernatantGDH.ThepossibilitythatthisphenomenonmightbeduetoatransferofGDHfromthesupernatanttomitochondriaisdiscussed.AlthoughtightlyboundGDHcouldsometimesbereleasedfrommitochondriabyultrasonicdisintegrationoraging,nosignificantdifferencesintheamountofGDHboundwithinthemitochondriaatdifferentstagesofdevelopmentwerefound.
