Observations on the appearance of norepinephrine in the sympathetic nervous system of the chick embryo☆
[摘要] Theappearanceofnorepinephrineindevelopingautonomicstructuresofthechickembryohasbeeninvestigated.Ahighlysensitiveandspecificmethodforthecellularlocalizationofcertaincatecholaminesandtryptamineswasusedincombinationwithchemicaldeterminationofcatecholamines.Norepinephrinewasfoundinthesympatheticchainattheverystagewhenthisappearsasawelldefinedorgan(embryosincubated3.5days).Outgrowingadrenergicnervesmaycontainnorepinephrinefromaveryearlystageoftheirdevelopment.Migratingnorepinephrine-containingcellscouldbefollowedintotheaorticplexusandtotheinterrenalbuds,wheretheyformtheadrenalmedulla.Uptothehatchingstage,allmedullarycellsseemtostorenorepinephrine.Somedataaregivenontheappearanceofadrenergicnervesinthepancreas,duodenum,rectum,andheart.DOPAdecarboxylaseactivityappearedshortlybeforenorepinephrinecouldbehistochemicallydemonstrated.
