[摘要] Wedescribeaprocedureforrapidlydividinghundredsoffrogeggsintotransverseslicesalongtheanimal-vegetalaxis.WehaveusedthismethodtostudythespatialdistributionofsolubleproteinsinfertilizeduncleavedeggsandlateblastulaembryosofXenopuslaevis.Approximately25%oftheproteinbandsweresolvebyelectrophoresisarepresentalongonlypartoftheegg'sanimal-vegetalaxis.
